About Leominster Train Station

Leominster station (1853) on the Welsh Marches line was built by Shrewsbury and Hereford Railway.

The original Italianate station building survives, listed Grade II.

Though reduced from six to two platforms, it remains important for rural Herefordshire.

The station handles 200,000 annual passengers with Transport for Wales services to Manchester and Cardiff.

2019 improvements added accessible ramps and digital displays.

Leominster exemplifies traditional market town stations that survived Beeching cuts.

Its heritage features attract railway enthusiasts while serving local commuters and tourists visiting the historic town center and nearby Hampton Court Castle gardens.
